ENROLLMENT FAQ's

 

Q:        Is there a registration/supply fee due upon registration?

A:        In order to hold a your child’s place in a class, a registration fee must be paid at the time of registration.. Registration fees  are non-refundable.

 

Q:        What ages do you have in your school?

A:        We accept Infants (6 weeks) through Kindergarten during the school year and Infants (6 weeks) through children entering the 4th grade of the following school year for our summer program.

 

Q:        What are your hours of operation:

A:        SFLC provides care for children from 7:15 a.m.-6:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. “Early Bird” care is provided from 7:15-8:45 a.m. Fall/Spring Academic classes meet from 8:45 a.m.-12 noon, with Afternoon Enrichment classes available from 12 noon-6:00 p.m. 

 

Q:        Do you have a year-round program?

A:        SFLC have a Fall/Spring school year and during the summer months, the “Sensation Summer” program offers fun-filled activities, field trips, mini-camps and other special programs. 

 

Q:        Does the parent furnish the child’s lunch?

A:        Yes, the parent furnishes the lunch. The SFLC Parents’ Group sponsors an option of purchasing meals each semester at an additional cost.

 

Q:        Is there a sibling discount?

A:        Yes. There is a $10.00 per month discount for each additional child. (The discount does not apply in the Infant and Toddler program.) 

 

Q:        Do you have a waiting list for classes that are filled?

A:        Yes. Once a class is filled a waiting list is begun. The waiting list is only for the current school year and it does not carry over from year to year.

 

Q:        When and how is tuition paid?

A:        Tuition is due the first of each month. Statements are passed out to the classroom around the first of each month and placed in the child’s bag or notebook. Payments are considered late after the tenth of each month. 

 

Q:        When is student enrollment held?

A:        The fall/spring school year registration is held in February before school starts in the fall. Summer registration is held in March. Please call the  school office for specific dates.

 

Q:        Is your staff trained in CPR and First Aid?

A:        Yes, all staff members are certified in CPR and First Aid.
